1984 saw the birth of Accucut Boooks CC trading as Cut Papers it was established in Durban by Robert Brett, who is still the main member today. He saw a gap in the market as a Mini Paper Merchant, supplying Paper and Envelopes to the small printers and offices.

Cut Papers as a one-man operation and 3 staff members were Jack of all trades and performed the function of salesman, delivery man and administrator of business on a daily basis.

The age of the Photocopier was not as it is today. We used to buy paper in the larger sizes from the Paper Merchants and cut to the various sizes, wrap and deliver. In 1987 to 1990 we saw a recession and business dropped off. To supplement the loss of turnover, Cut Papers purchased a small printing operation called Variprint which did mainly Masonic work of which Mr Brett was a member. The Printing side of the business has gone from strength to strength and is now, our core business.

In the early days of printing, we had table top printers, printing was a real craft, all our copy was set in hot metal type, and errors were costly, this made precision imperative. The ethos of precision craftsmanship and attention to detail over the years has seen us through 30 years of accomplishments. We also have built a long-standing reputation for providing a fast and professional service. Customers need a fast turn-around time and we pride ourselves on giving the client peace of mind knowing that we will help meet deadlines.
